Wynona Watermelon "Did you know that a watermelon seed can travel 20 to 30 feet or more? Don't worry if you accidentally swallow a seed; I promise, it will not cause a watermelon to grow in your stomach. Watermelons are just as fun to play with as they are delicious. No matter how big a watermelon grows, it will still float in water. In fact, watermelons are over 92 percent water. Long ago they were used by early explorers as canteens because of their incredible ability to hold water.

The sweet part of the fruit is grown in a variety of colors like red, orange and yellow. They all taste great. Watermelons contain the powerful antioxidants vitamin C and vitamin E. They are responsible for strengthening blood vessels, making red blood cells and protecting the lungs from pollution. Watermelon also has a special plant compound called lycopene, which scientists believe helps our bodies fight disease."
